We are visiting a few Campuses in La Jolla to check out for our Son when my husband asked to stop to eat first before continuing our Visits. We saw this place called "CAROLINE'S SEASIDE CAFE BY GIUSEPPE " and it looked interesting, so we decided to dine in. It was a Monday, so I was hoping that it would be less crowded. OMG there was a long line, but it moved very quickly. But the line never ended from the beggining when we were there to the time we finished eating, people just kept on coming. So this is how it works there, they have a sign that says "Do not take a table until you are done ordering at the cashier", you wont miss the sign about it 'coz it's visible while you are in the line. They also have a sign that says that once seated, you can't switch tables if you see another empty table. A lot of people were aiming for their outdoor seating area 'coz it really has a nice view, but for me in this summer heats, I would rather sit inside. I still got a good view of their beautiful ocean without getting hot or getting sun burned. Foods we Ordered: *PRIME SMOKED SALMON *TURKEY APPLE SAUSAGE SCRAMBLE *ORANGE JUICE *LARGE COFFEE I had the PRIME SMOKED SALMON and omg it was so good and so Fresh, good quality. The Salmon on it had a lot too. I would order another one, but I don't want to get in the long line again, but I plan to go back again for their food 'coz they are good. The TURKEY APPLE SAUSAGE SCRAMBLE was so good too, it's my husband's food. I cant stop myself from getting some of the potatoes from my husband's plate, it's so flavorful. After we ate here we went to a staircase that leads to the beach, my husband and I enjoyed the walk there, this is an added bonus for why I would come back to eat here again. I'm glad we tried this place. It had a good View, Good service, and good food.

BEST PARTS: the VIEW of the beach, friendly service, and a 2 minute walk to the Scripps pier where you can take a photo under after. HEADS UP: 1)PARKING is tough. Have one perfect stand in line while the other looks for parking. 2) You're supposed to ORDER 1ST and then find a table. Once you sit you should not move- per their sign. 3) LIMITED outdoor SEATS - Some people stay after their done eating. I felt bad standing and watching tables like a hawk, but I understand people want to enjoy the view and relax. They have long tables but luckily I stood there waited long enough to get a table for 2 in the corner. We tried the short ribs potatoes- pretty good but I was hoping for something more, not sure if maybe sliced pickled red onions or a jalapeño cilantro sauce might help? We also ordered the chicken sausage scramble with fruit and sourdough toast. It was fresh, light, but nothing out of the ordinary that would make me feel like I need to have it again. They have a weekday menu that looked better than their weekend menu. Would be nice if they added something else like chicken and waffles, and some pumpkin stuffed French toast or Nutella banana macadamia nut pancakes. I got a MIMOSA for $8 and it came in a super SMALL glass. Would be cool if they had a flight of mimosas in those glass sizes with different flavors.

I can put to words why this place is always worth the wait of the long line on the weekends with the perfect view of the ocean every meal is still worth paying for especially the service you get, Steff is so wonderful she makes the yummmiest caramel latte and the guy behind the cashier has always been so nice and friendly everytime we come here consistently despite being so busy they are just so welcoming as always as lovely as the place they work to everyday this is the perfect spot for brunch with the million dollar view of La Jolla, the architecture of this place is beyond it truly is one of the gems of San Diego

This is the epitome of a seaside brunch spot in San Diego literally picturesque backdrop of the LJ ocean and pier like you're in a movie. Order first before sitting down, wide selection of food and delicious too! Either eat and take a walk down the beach or vice versa and live up your SoCal beach dream
